Rumah Lengger dibentuk pada tahun 2020. Kami, berikhtiar membentuk Pusat Dokumentasi Lengger. Tujuan utama Rumah Lengger berniat mendorong terbentuknya sebuah komunitas masyarakat ilmiah lengger. Rumah Lengger berniat mengumpulkan arsip, membuat dokumentasi, mendirikan perpustakaan lengger baik dalam rupa visual, tekstual maupun audio. Rumah Lengger sebagai bank naskah ingin memberi sumbangan gerakan menghindarkan diri dari proses menjadi lupa dan tumpul memaknai kekayaan tradisi nusantara.
