Today we are going on to discover Pizzeria Tintarella. This is a traditional pizzeria in Kashiwa, Chiba, Japan.
This pizzeria has been opened since 2016 in Kashiwa city, in Ciba prefecture, by chef Hideo Endo. It is one of the best pizzeria in Japan that makes truly authentic Neapolitan pizza. In fact, they are one of the 88 pizzerias in Japan that is certified ""Vera Pizza Napolitana"", an association that certified that their pizza is an authentic Neapolitan pizza that respects specific criteria of the traditional way of cooking it such as using San Marzano tomatoes, Bufala mozzarella & baking in a wood burning oven.
The pizzeria won the 'Caputo Cup' in Japan in 2022 and they also received another "Vera Pizza Napolitana" certification for the 'Pizza Fritta', a deep-fried style pizza with ricotta cheese, fresh prosciutto ham & mini tomatoes. The wood-fired kiln oven was imported from Italy & made by a famous craftsman in Naples.
The chef has been trained in Italy and visits there regularly and wants to give a true homestyle cooking experience through the food & the atmosphere with an Italian type of friendliness.
