In 1982, Israel launched Operation Peace in Galilee with the objective of expelling members of the Palestine Liberation Organization to the southern territories of Lebanon. The operation took place in a few months, taking Israeli troops to the capital of the country, Beirut, already destroyed by years of civil war, and causing one of the saddest events of Lebanon's recent past: the Israeli incursion into the Sabra and Shatila camps. Let us discover together the tormented history of a nation and an area of the world, the Middle East, where the term "peace" never seems to have existed.
