I am testing out a new tool to see if it will be effective at cutting down poison oak. In the past I have cut it with a chainsaw. This tool should make it easier, faster and safer to get rid of poison oak. I have eliminated poison oak on some areas of my property. Cutting it down is not a quick fix. It will sprout back. Cutting it is the first stage in a long term strategy I use, which I will show in future videos. This tool is a Stihl FS 131 with angled hedge trimmer attachment. I don't know how it would work on poison ivy, we don't have poison ivy here.
