We headed south for a 12-day road trip to enjoy some seasonably warm spring weather and ride some new bike trails. Our fifth day of riding (after a zero day due to high winds) was in the Kansas City area, and after riding the Rock Island Trail    • Bicycling Missouri's Rock Island Trai...   in the morning with Julie I ventured out on the Little Blue Trace Trail. We had hoped to ride the Little Blue Trace Trail which was close to our hotel (Drury Inn), but 50+ MPH winds made day four a rest day. I rode 20 miles of the trail after helping with a medical emergency (crash on the trail) that took 30 minutes of my riding time away. The Little Blue Trace was a close second to the Rock Island but only slightly. It is scenic and well taken care of, but my favorite part was no road crossings!
