This is a bonus explore that I was able to do during my last trip. Driving along, I noticed a broken old cabin below a cliff along the highway. I stopped to take a look and noticed a large culvert going under the highway about 300 feet down. I knew the culvert was not meant for walking, as the highway runs along the side of a mountain, so I decided to take a hike down and check things out. As my suspicion predicted, the culvert was actually an entrance to a mine shaft. What I didn't expect was how extensive the tunnel system was. I walked for more than an hour underground and only saw a portion of tunnel systems. This was my first really extensive explore underground and it was a real pleasure for me.
