New Londo ruins is one of the most somber locations in any of the From Software games. It is also home to some of the most frustrating design choices in Dark Souls. But I believe that the great parts of New Londo Ruins outshine the bad parts of it. I want to examine this corner of Dark Souls and its surrounding quest that will take you into Darkroot Garden in search of Artorias the Abysswalker. This quest continues many of the somber themes of New Londo when you are faced with the Great Grey Wolf Sif. New Londo's boss, the Four Kings, is one of my all time favorite boss fights and I believe it is a bombastic ending to a somber corner of Dark Souls
