In this video we search for California Poppy Flowers. Our journey takes us along the the lesser known Boranda Trail, just south of Big Sur. This is an easy trail to miss if you're not paying attention when driving, but it's certainly not a trail to pass up. The trail climbs quickly along coastal ridge towards ambling grass plains with poppy flowers. The views from the top were quiet spectacular. The hike in total is over 5 miles and is well maintained with clear trail markings. We did this hike at the end of winter and early spring, which was perfect for catching the seasonal bloom. This was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this as a top hike in the area.
