Welcome back!
In this video I finish working on my hand made snowboard and get to finally have a bit of fun in the snow. Now I am not a great snowboarder by a log stretch... I wasn't ever a skateboarder and I didn't get into long boarding when that became popular... but I would say I'm not horrible on a snowboard...anymore.lol.
Aparrently if you long board and can slide and grind you could be a natural at snowboarding... at least that is what my brother claims helped him. Anyway.....

How to start...hmm..
In this video, I pull the snowboard blank out of the press and trim off all the excess and start sanding the edges and base to their final shape and surface. There were a few little things I had to fix on the snowboard and some things that will require a bit more snowboard repair work in the future... but all in all I was quite happy with the way this board turned out. I then had to learn how to wax a snowboard. I had never waxed skis or snowboards before but it wasn't to difficult to learn and before long I had my bindings put on and I was ready to hit the slopes.
I Hope you have enjoyed going through this little side project with me and I look forward to seeing you in the workshop for some more DIY woodworking adventures
