Found this bit of wood washed up on the beach, and I could see a bit of spalting poking out on the side so I took it home and popped it onto the lathe to turn. I'm very glad I did!
I'm not 100% sure what kind of wood this is, but it could be beech. That would be quite fitting, seeing as that's where I found it lol.
