What is Cardano?

Cardano is a 3rd generation blockchain focused on building for the future to make global change in the financial world especially for the unbanked.

It's built on scientific philosophy and peer-reviewed academic research.

Governance - is built in mechanism to settle disputes and vote on new features and big changes to the Cardano code. Check out the Cardano roadmap, in the description below. Governance will come to Cardano in the near future, during the Voltaire phase.

Governance is very very important.

Both Bitcoin and Ethereum have had internal civil wars because they lack a built-in governance mechanism.

Decentralization - Cardano as of March, is 100% decentralized. Folks like myself run stake pools which support the network making it safe and secure, 100% decentralized from corporations or government intervention. You’ll still have gov’t oversight but they can’t shut it down, nor can they freeze or take your assets.

Scalability - this is a huge topic of concern when you talk about blockchain technology. With every transaction, the blockchain grows bigger, as more people adopt a technology, there will be more transactions, more dapps, more everything, how do you scale and still stay fast?
