Solo Fly fishing trip up to Stewiacke, Nova Scotia.

On a beautiful sunny and mild spring day, heading out blind to a river looking to catch my first ever fish on the fly rod.

Once I arrived out on the river, it was apparent that I was in for a fantastic day on the water. The wildlife was booming, enhanced by the calm and clear flowing river water gave me tell tale signs that brook trout were on the itinerary.

I've yet to experience the sheer aggressiveness of early spring feeding trout, and boy it was a sight to behold. 12+ Brook Trout surfaced through my trip to snag up some yummy fresh hatched spring flys, bugs and larva.
