In this video we look at the VSEPR model and how to figure out what shapes different molecules will take.

You must look at the number of atoms bonded to the central atom AND the number of lone pairs attached to the central atom. Then you can figure out if the molecule is:
1. linear
2. trigonal planar
3. tetrahedral
4. pyramidal
5. bent

Those are the main 5. Yes, there are some molecules that break the rules, but those are the ones to focus on as those are the most typical :)
