The Raclette Burger is not only a tasty burger. The moment when melted Gruyere and Appenzeller cheese are poured over the meat is just magical! But CAUTION: This burger is a full-fledged meal!

Here are the ingredients for 4 burgers:
800g Ground Beef
2 tablespoons Royal Flush Rub or BBQ rub of your choice
4 burger buns e.g. Here:    • Ultimative Burger Buns nach Jörn Fisc...   (homemade burger buns video)
200g Appenzeller Cheese
200g of Gruyere Cheese Alternatively you can use Raclette cheese if it is available!
Pepper / salt / olive oil
Lamb's lettuce
6 red onions
200g mushrooms

Prep: Add your BBQ rub to the ground beef and mix thoroughly. Cut up your onions and mushrooms as shown. On a griddle or cast iron pan sauté your veggies with a little olive oil, salt & pepper. Set aside when done. Cut the cheese (both types) up into small cubes to enable ease in melting as shown. Place your cheese cubes in a small pan and set on your grill over indirect heat to melt. Grill your burgers to the desired doneness. Assemble your burger as follows: Lambs lettuce on the bottom bun Burger Patty Sautéed mushrooms and onions on top, and finally top off with your melted cheese mixture! This is an absolutely fantastic burger that has a very unique flavor from the melted cheese. The cheese really makes this burger! Give it a try at your next BBQ! Enjoy & Have Fun! Jörn
