A unique last minute Christmas gift that I enjoy making is a wood relief print. I show the process of taking a piece of firewood and transforming it into a piece of art that you can easily give as a gift. Every print is completely hand crafted and completely different than any other. The prints are completely unique because they come from a tree and no two trees are alike. The prints can be mounted on hardboard or completely framed as wall art. The process involves burning wood with a torch and applying screen printing ink to the charred wood. The t-shirt ink is transferred to a piece of paper or canvas by applying pressure and this process creates the relief print.
