The main cause of carburetor flooding is from the drain hose The common cause is usually due to the float needle being blocked by dirt from the direction of the fuel tank. The float needle starts to wear out and the needle housing also wears out which will also cause the carburetor to flood. And the next cause could be the result of setting the float tongue too low, so that when the float rises but the needle still cannot close tightly, the fuel will continue to fill the carburetor bowl so that there will be a leak/flood into the exhaust hose.
