音声のみですが、485系3000番台使用の函館行き白鳥3号の高速走行をお聞き下さい。
津軽海峡線津軽今別駅での一時停車~竜飛海底駅到着までを収録しました。ジョイント音のリズムをストップウォッチで計測してみたところ最高速度は140km/h出ているようです。
普段は高速ギアで余裕のある485系のモーターもここでは東海道線をカッ飛ばしていた113系のような甲高い音階まで雄たけびを上げます。

Once it has been the most fastest train in Japan besides Shinkansen. The limited express Hakucho goes into the Seikan-tunnel(between Aomori prefecture and Hokkaido passing beneath the Tsugaru Straits) at 140km/h speed.
The present fastest train in Japan(besides Shinkansen) is the limited express Hakutaka in HokuHoku line in Nigata prefecture(160km/h) and the Narita Sky Access line(the express train between Ueno(Tokyo) and Narita airport), maximum speed is also 160km/h).
However, the Hakucho express is using old state-operated JNR type train designed more than 40 years ago. Could't it be counted on that old style train is still the third fastest train in Japan? Please enjoy the old motor sound rising up the roar!
