Chocolate Modak is a delicious sweet which tastes yummy and it’s like eating Bounty bar Chocolate. The filling is Coconut sweet which makes a perfect combination with Chocolate on the outer side.

As it is a chocolate with a Modak shape kids love it. They enjoy modak very much.

INGREDIENTS

Coconut Filling for Modak

2 Cup Milk
½ Cup Sugar
1 Cup Desiccated Coconut
¼ Cup Milk Powder
2 tbsp Corn Syrup

Chocolate layer for Modak
250 Grams Milk Chocolate


INSTRUCTIONS

Coconut Filling for Modak

Take a Pan, Add Milk and Sugar for boiling on High flame. Stir so that nothing gets stuck at bottom of the pan.
Boil until the milk quantity gets Half then add Desiccated Coconut and mix it on low flame
Add Milk Powder, mix it and stir it on low flame until the mixture becomes thick.
Add Corn Syrup and mix it. It is optional. This is perfect binding.
Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down. The Coconut filling is ready.

Chocolate Body for Modak

Take Chocolate in a double boiler and melt.
When the chocolate melts completely. Remove from flame and stir for a smooth consistency.
Take the modak mould, add a spoon of chocolate to the mould and spread it across equally with the help of mould. Remove the excess chocolate. Refer to the video for a better understanding of this step.
Refrigerate for 5 mins. The Chocolate layer becomes hard. Repeat the same process again so that it gets a double layer. Repeat for other moulds too.
Now fill it with Coconut filling. Leave a small space on the top.
Fill the space with chocolate. Refrigerate for 15 Mins. Remove the mould slowly, Chocolate modak is ready.
