G.Skill DDR5-600CL28 16GBx2 Memory Kit: https://amzn.to/47KvJN0

Today we’re taking a look at the Trident Z5 Royal Neo 32 gigabyte DDR5-6000 megatransfter cl28 memory kit courtesy of Gskill. This is a super high performance memory kit developed for use with AMY Ryzen CPUs and it consists of two memory modules, each 16gb. The kit is EXPO verified meaning that if you’re using a qualified AMD motherboard, you should be able to get the full DDR5 6000 megatransfer speed at CL28 timings which is super tight for Ryzen gaming platforms. This 6000cl28 kit provides a decent bump in performance in most of the recent AAA gaming titles while having that fancy G.Skill Royal look with some solid RGB. Since these EXPO presets are baked into the memory, all you need to do is EXPO mode in the bios and you should be good to go. For my test system here, I’m running an AMD Ryzen 7700X with the Asus Tuf gaming B650E motherboard and an ASUS RTX 4070 Super. These days for new gaming rigs, I really see 32GB being the optimal amount of system memory in terms of most gaming rigs and I think that that 32gb will definitely last you quite a few years. As for the speed and timings, if you’re running an AMD Ryzen system and you want to show off your system, I’d really suggest looking at the Royal Neo kits. I think getting into an AM5 platform with the JEDEC stock 4800MT memory is probably not worth the cost savings and it’s definitely not going to have that premium look.

DDR-6000 is still the sweet spot with Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 9000 CPUS right now so for that extra boost of power, this CL28 kit comes in handy. I noticed some average and 1% low framerate improvements on my 7700X RTX 4070 Super gaming rig, nothing crazy of course but a few extra % for modern games is a nice benefit. This kit is of course RGB so, that’s worth at least another 10 or 20% performance I think. The RGB colors can be controlled through various RGB applications, G.skill lists Aura Sync, RGB FUsion 2.0, Mystic Light Sync from MSI, and Asrocks Polychrome sync. This is definitely one of the higher end more premium memory kits but I just think it adds that nice final touch to the aesthetic of a gaming system in my opinion. I ran my system through a ton of gaming benchmarks to make sure it was stable and performing well, no issues with EXPO speeds enabled and the performance was good all around. One thing to note if you are new to the AMD AM5 platform, the initial boot times when you apply memory overclocks, even EXPO mode, can be a little longer than like an AM4 so don’t worry if it takes a few minutes to boot up. I definitely recommend always checking out G.Skill’s compatibility matrix, they post detailed QVL’s on their website for every single memory kit they sell which is just awesome. Just in case you aren’t familiar with G.Skill, ALL of their memory kits come with a limited lifetime warranty, again, super awesome.
