Traditional BRITISH Bread and butter pudding, made by layering slices of buttered bread scattered with raisins in an oven dish, over which an egg custard mixture, made with milk or cream and normally seasoned with nutmeg, vanilla or other spices, is poured. Absolutely Delicious and really, really easy to make!
I will show you the real way – unlike all the recipes on the internet discarding the crusts!!!!!!! WHAT! They were never brought up eating the REAL Bread and Butter Pudding – if you squash it down you get a thick pudding denser (the way I like it) If you just layer it and do not squash it down you have a lighter pudding.
I’m British and this recipe it the real mum’s way of making Bread and Butter Pudding – A pudding that fills you up!

Ingredients
BREAD
4 eggs
2 can carnation evaporated milk
1 can carnation condensed milk
2 tsp vanilla
Pinch of nutmeg
Tiny squeeze of lemon
Mix fruit Black raisins and sultanas
Butter for the bread and the dish
Sugar over pud before baking
Serve with whatever you like – I like Vanilla Ice Cream!
