Wanda Smith, an Atlanta radio legend, dies at 58
Popular Atlanta radio host Wanda Smith has passed away, just a day after celebrating her birthday, as confirmed by V-103 radio. Rick Caffey, Senior Vice President and Market Manager at the station, shared the heartbreaking news, stating, "Our hearts are weighing heavier today as we grieve the loss of our beloved Wanda Smith, someone who always made us smile and who was a big part of V-103 for years. We extend our deepest prayers and condolences to her family."

Smith first joined V-103, formerly known as WVEE-FM, in 1998 as a co-host of the "Frank and Wanda in the Morning" show. She held that role for over two decades, only taking a brief break in 2013 before returning in 2014 to co-host with Ryan Cameron. Her tenure at the station ended in 2019.

In addition to her radio career, Smith was also a well-known comedian. She contributed as a writer for the hit TV shows "Def Comedy Jam" and BET’s "Comicview." Smith also had a regular comedy set at the Atlanta Comedy Theater in Norcross and appeared in films such as Tyler Perry's "Madea Goes to Jail" and "Madea's Witness Protection."

Wanda Smith is survived by her husband, LaMorris Sellers, and their three children.
