This classic Filipino vegetable dish is made using kalabasa (squash) and sitaw (string beans) cooked in coconut cream or milk. You can also add shrimp or pork to the dish to make it more flavorful.

I love eating this especially with anything fried - fish, chicken, or pork. The coconut cream or milk makes the dish creamier and I just love the taste. This is an easy recipe for lunch or dinner that you and your family will enjoy.

Ingredients:
Kalabasa (medium) 700 g, cubed
1 tali or bundle sitaw, sliced
1 small white onion, minced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 pork cube
1 Tbsp patis (fish sauce)
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 Coco Mama Fresh Gata (coconut cream), 200 ml
1/2 cup water
3 Tbsps cooking oil

Procedure:
1. Heat oil in a pan. Saute onions and garlic.
2. Add kalabasa (squash), ground black pepper, and water. Mix well. Cover and let it simmer under medium heat.
3. Pour the coconut cream and pork cube. Stir well. Cover and simmer.
4. Add the sitaw (string beans). Mix and reduce to a low simmer.
5. Add patis (fish sauce) and mix. Simmer for another 5 minutes and turn off the heat.
6. Serve and enjoy with steamed rice.
