Chinganchira is a small village located about 10 kilometres from Kollengode at Palakkad district of Kerala.The god of worship here is Karuppuswamy.Here you can see huge banyan trees with its roots hanging.That itself is a beautiful view for a nature lover.
This place is also a major shooting location at Palakkad district. Important movies like Kaliyattam,Osiyan climax scene and few other movies were shot at this location.

Karuppuswamy is the "Kattalan" version of Lord Shiva. It is believed that one lion came to drink water in this chira and hence this chira came into existence.
