What a day eating Nasi Padang in Jakarta. We also had never been to the national monument in Jakarta and we thought it was a good time to go and visit.

I was a little disappointed with Restoran Garuda because they did not have any daun Nanka. For me an essential when I eat nasi padang is daun singkong and daun nanka. Fortunately there was dau singkong. It was served in a type of coconut milk called santan.

Monas was very nice. It was a little warm. However, we had a lot of fun throwing the football. And of course I let the boys get some ice cream after they tried otak.
