As part of a 20-year co-management agreement with Mozambique's National Administration for Conservation Areas, Peace Parks committed an investment of $26 million into an intensive development programme for Zinave National Park. As part of this, we embarked on a massive infrastructure project over the past few years aimed at improving the efficiency of the park’s operations and conservation efforts. The new headquarters and facilities were officially inaugurated by Her Excellency, the Minister of Land and Environment, Ivete Maibaze in August 2020.

Our vice-chairman, former President of Mozambique, Joaquim Alberto Chissano, said: "Through the development and conservation endeavours undertaken by ANAC and Peace Parks, Zinave is emerging as an environmental treasure that holds not only intrinsic value through its natural resources, but also promises to be a sought-after tourist destination, and thereby a valuable asset for the country and its people."
