Welcome to the 65th episode of Bus Ride Alongs

Today we're onboard one of Metro Vancouver's first double decker bus R19401 on line 301 Newton Exchange

These buses were introduced on October 30, 2019 with the first bus being 19402 on line 620 Bridgeport Stn/Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, it was then appeared on two more routes with those routes being 301, & the 555. These 32 buses were purchased after the successful demo of the double decker buses back in 2017 to increase capacity & to reduce crowding on the busiest routes. These are the main replacements of the last high floor buses in Vancouver, the Orion V's (2001 models). The 2008 models will remain in the fleet for another few more years.
