On December 2nd, 2006, 012 100-4 unfortunately pulled its last special train. It was the well-known St. Nicholas' procession from Hamburg via Kiel to Lübeck.
In 2005 the locomotive had a new boiler, but disputes between the DB AG and the Rendsburg railway friends caused the locomotive to be shut down. Today the steam locomotive star is standing outdoors and gammeln to himself. The German Steam Locomotives Foundation has started to look after the vehicle and preserve it in the best possible way.
