Xizhou (喜洲) is a town located 20 km north of Dali Old Town within Dali City, part of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan, China. It is comprised of 13 small villages with a population of approximately 54,779, predominantly Bai people along with Hui and Han residents. Situated near Erhai Lake (洱海) and Cang Mountain (苍山), Xizhou has a rich history as a trading post on the Tea Horse Road (茶马古道), a WWII base for the Flying Tigers, and is renowned for its well-preserved Bai architecture and heritage sites.

The town's history traces back to the Sui Dynasty (581 - 618 AD) and flourished during the Nanzhao Kingdom (737 - 902 AD) era, benefiting from its proximity to the kingdom's capital and expertise in architecture and engineering. Throughout the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, Xizhou continued to prosper in trade, academia, and culture, earning it the nickname "Cambridge of the East" due to its educational significance.

Culturally, Xizhou is celebrated for its Bai reflecting walls, traditional Three Course Tea ceremony, distinctive Bai headdresses worn by women, and a matriarchal societal organization. The town also maintains a rich tradition in producing Rushan cheese (乳扇) and Erkuai (饵块), and is known for its tie-dye (扎染) craftsmanship in nearby Zhoucheng (周城).

Economically, Xizhou's economy is primarily agricultural, with a focus on rice, corn, garlic, and broad beans, alongside a growing tourism sector due to its historical and cultural attractions. The town is accessible by bus from Dali's old town and offers a glimpse into the rich cultural tapestry and architectural heritage of the Bai people in Yunnan.
