The Royal Air Mail Service concept vehicle was introduced to the toy market by Meccano in 1935. It cost 6 pence and was sold until 1940. Its futuristic shape for the time was owed to designers who wanted to create a promotion for air mail services in England before war. These models are very rare and hard to obtain today because most of them are falling apart due to their age. The alloy from which they are made cracks and very unpleasant damage occurs. I just received such a car, which I decided to repair using gluing. I proceeded very carefully during the renovation, because any forceful movement could tear off a piece of material. The models were originally packed in 6 pieces in commercial packaging, but I made period packaging based on the Dinky boxes. Thank you for watching the video, I publish car repair videos on Tuesdays and Saturdays. You can turn on subtitles in your language with commentary on the activity in the video.
