Here is the first part of Adèle Haenel's contribution to FEU!, Elsa Dorlin's collection of feminist writings published last month in France.

This is a so-called convenience translation. While not a literal translation, I attempted to capture as best as possible the tonality and meaning of the original French version, while also constructing comprehensible English sentences. Still, I preserved the original French punctuation (you'll notice so called run-on sentences all over the place), to show the train of thought that Adèle's original punctuation conveyed.
