Chemical tanker fire on Mumbai-Pune Expressway, 4 dead: Vehicles passing under the flyover got hit; 3 injured

A chemical tanker overturned on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Tuesday, causing it to catch fire. 4 people died in the accident, while 3 are injured. The incident is of a flyover at Khandala bypass position at 12 noon.

मुंबई-पुणे एक्सप्रेस वे पर मंगलवार को एक केमिकल से भरा टैंकर पलट गया, जिससे इसमें आग लग गई। हादसे में 4 लोगों की मौत हो गई, जबकि 3 घायल हैं। घटना दोपहर 12 बजे खंडाला बाईपास स्थिति एक फ्लाईओवर की है।

रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, चंद मिनटों में पूरा टैंकर जलकर खाक हो गया। इससे निकल रहा केमिकल फ्लाईओवर के नीचे तक गिर रहा था। केमिकल जहां-जहां पहुंचा आग वहां तक फैलती गई।

हादसे के दौरान टैंकर में सवार दो लोग और फ्लाईओवर के नीचे से गुजर रहे दो बाइक सवार आग की चपेट में आ गए। जिसके कारण उनकी मौत हो गई। फ्लाईओवर के नीचे कुछ वाहन भी आग की चपेट में आए हैं। घायलों को सोमाटणे स्थित पवना अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है।
Traffic going to Mumbai and Pune was completely stopped after the incident. Due to this, there was a queue of vehicles for several kilometers. Police called the firefighter after getting information about the incident. The fire has been brought under control.

घटना के बाद मुंबई और पुणे जाने वाले ट्रैफिक को पूरी तरह से रोक दिया गया। इससे कई किलोमीटर तक वाहनों की कतार लग गई। पुलिस ने घटना की जानकारी मिलने के बाद फायर फाइटर को बुलाया। आग पर काबू पा लिया गया है।

टैंकर में आग लगने के बाद एक्सप्रेस वे पर दोनों तरफ के ट्रैफिक को रोक दिया गया। हादसे के दौरान लोगों की भीड़ इकठ्ठा हो गई। फायर ब्रिगेड की टीम को बुलाया गया। पुलिस की टीम मौके पर पहुंची और आग बुझाने के बाद टैंकर को फ्लाईओवर से हटवाया। डिप्टी CM फडणवीस बोले- ट्रैफिक चालू किया जा रहा है
महाराष्ट्र के डिप्टी CM देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने घटना पर दुख व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने ट्वीट करते हुए लिखा, मुंबई-पुणे हाईवे पर हादसे में 4 लोगों की मौत की घटना बेहद दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है। मैं उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करता हूं। घायलों के जल्द स्वस्थ होने की कामना करता हूं।
Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis expressed grief over the incident. He wrote in tweeting, the incident of the death of 4 people in an accident on the Mumbai-Pune highway is very unfortunate. I pay tribute to him. I wish the injured a speedy recovery.

फडणवीस ने आगे कहा- राज्य पुलिस बल, राजमार्ग पुलिस, आईएनएस शिवाजी, फायर ब्रिगेड की टीमें मौके पर हैं और अब आग पर काबू पा लिया गया है। एक तरफ का ट्रैफिक बहाल कर दिया गया है, वहीं दूसरी तरफ भी जल्द शुरू हो जाएगा। राज्य सरकार स्थिति पर पैनी नजर बनाए हुए है। Fadnavis further said – State Police Force, Highway Police, INS Shivaji, Fire Brigade teams are on the spot and now the fire has been brought under control. Traffic on one side has been restored, while the other side will also start soon. The state government is keeping a close watch on the situation.
