The Minnesota Vikings fortified their defensive line by signing Arlington Renegades defensive lineman Jalen Redmond. The news was first reported by NFL insider Aaron Wilson.
Redmond was an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma in the 2023 NFL Draft class. He was a beast in college and that translated to the NFL Scouting Combine where he both ran and jumped well. His jumps of 34.5" in the vertical and 9'8" in the broad jump were highs at the combine and he posted the second-best 10-yard split among defensive tackles at 1.71 seconds.

Redmond was waived by the Panthers in early August and played with the Renegades this spring. He did have five sacks in four games with the Renegades this spring but medical issues plagued him in college. He had a knee injury and battled blood clots which played a factor in why he went undrafted.

Redmond replaces WR Devron Harper, who was waived earlier on Monday.
