This webinar will focus on demystifying and debunking myths around psychosis, a poorly understood and feared condition. We will focus on understanding the difference between postpartum psychosis, which is very rare, and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, which are common. We will focus specifically on understanding postpartum psychosis through the experiences of Zahava List, a survivor of postpartum psychosis, and with the insights of Dr. Tal Weinberger, a reproductive psychiatrist.

Tal Weinberger, MD assumed the role of director of psychiatry and behavioral health at CHEMED health center in Lakewood about a year ago. Previously, she was clinical associate professor and outpatient medical director for the Psychiatry department at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and also maintained a secondary faculty appointment in the OB/GYN department. She is founding director of the Jefferson Women’s mental health clinic, and has also recently started a women’s mental health clinic at CHEMED in partnership with Hackensack/ Jersey Shore Dept of Psychiatry.
Dr. Weinberger completed her undergraduate studies cum laude at Yale University, and attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in cognitive behavioral therapy at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a consultant for the perinatal psychiatry consultation line for Postpartum Support International, consulting with providers on clinical questions in perinatal psychopharmacology. She lectures and has several publications in the field of women's mental health.

For the past eight years, Zahava List has dedicated herself to supporting Jewish women worldwide who face mental health challenges. Her personal experience with postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder has driven her passion for creating Chazkeinu, a loving, non-judgmental community where women can connect and find support. Zahava’s leadership and vision have profoundly impacted the organization, offering invaluable peer support to those battling isolating conditions. She resides in Baltimore with her husband and four sons.
