We continued our Cruise onboard P&O Arvia to Marseille in southern France.
Marseille was a beautiful Cosmopolitan City with much to offer tourists who have just a day to look around. We really enjoyed our day there.
Barcelona is a place we have visited many times, but we always enjoy the experiance and this visit was no exception.

Cadiz is another place we have visited a lot but the charm of its narrow streets and plazas gives visitors something new with every visit..
Our cruise was enjoyable as far as the ininerary was concerned but the Arvia left a lot to be desired. For such a big ship, we found many of the venues to be pokey, whilst some of the speciality restaurants were in the central atrium with people walking by continuously and the echoing sound of the entertainment was not welcome whilst we were trying to have a relaxing meal. The Skydome too, had terrible acoustics and made it so we spent as little time as possible in there. The entertainment was passable, but nothing special and the pools were notkept very clean and sanitary.
Another problem for us was having to request timeslots for everything, even meals in the main dining rooms and entertainment in the main theatre. After a bad experience with P&O 7 years ago, we thought we would give them a second chance with a newer ship, but after this cruise we will not be cruising with them again.
