I went to the Mithila Art Institute in Bihar to see how the students painted Madhubani art and to learn about the new themes they were working on.

I was stunned to see the beautiful shift that has taken place from the traditional artform that remains to artistic revolution covering real life situations and incidents such as Dowry, Corruption, Mumbai Taj Attack, World Trade Center etc.

Home to 6 Padmashree awardees, Madhubani in Bihar is slowly and surely getting recognition for its artwork.
