Roof Maxx is a firm that will spray a soy-based oil that's been carefully formulated to soften your shingles, prevent breakage and crumbling and ultimately extend the life of an existing asphalt roof. Why does this matter when we are talking about sustainability and regeneration? Well, often roofs are changed "just because" or because it's reached a certain age and those materials are RARELY recycled even to the slightest percentile. Rather, more goods are manufactured and your roof, which maybe had 5-15 years left in it goes to a landfill or incinerator.
