Instructor @lyasya_sinkovski helps us analyze: What’s better: lead or titanium white? Some artists will only use lead, some use titanium. At ARA, we use both, but prefer lead. Lead is easier to control.

Titanium has a higher tinting strength, makes other colors appear cooler in mixtures, and decreases chroma. It also takes longer to dry. Lead is more delicate and dries faster. But it yellows over time and is more expensive. At the end of the day, use whatever you prefer!
