The 2025 BMW X3 marks the fourth generation of the German premium brand's critical mid-size SUV. And with its competition increasingly heating up, particularly with the onset of fully electric vehicles, it has to make major moves to stand out from the crowd.

So, what's changed with the Mercedes-Benz GLC rival? Well, it's got an all-new design inside and out, with the exterior smoother and larger than before, while the interior takes a tech-heavy step forward while integrating a more diverse set of materials.

The next-gen X3's debut is headlined by M50 xDrive, which adds 48V mild hybridisation to its M40i predecessor's 3.0-litre turbo-petrol six-cylinder engine to now produces 293kW of power and 580Nm of torque.
