What is the ontological status of Turbotax, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, the French Tricolore, or the single time zone that stretches across the entirety of modern China. I will argue that all these entities have features which make them analogous in certain ways to mathematical entities. At the same time, however, they differ from mathematical entities in that they have a beginning to exist in time, and they are a product of human creation.
