Hasara Fort is the next destination of our video. It is medieval and occupies about 8 acres of area, and the entrance falls from the south between two rocks. It is in them that we can also find two rows of trapezoidal niches, which suggest that the place here was also important for the Thracians. Thus it becomes clear to us that there are two main chronological periods that shaped this place. First, a rock sanctuary known as the city of the #Sun was established here, and then Romans and Byzantines built a fortress. According to Professor Nikolay Ovcharov, this is the City of the Sun or Heliopolis, because all the rock elements were directed towards the sun, and the uncovered ceramics were richly decorated with solar circles. Apparently, the Sun God and fertility were worshiped at this place.

The flat mound near Yunatsi has been known for decades, and an initial survey of the terrain began as early as 1939, but due to the World War II, it was interrupted and resumed only in 1976. Then it becomes clear the presence of an ancient settlement, of large size and a civilization with a lean organization. Let's put the gold aside. Let me tell you about the city, which impresses with its location and size. From the air, you can see the scale of a mound that is just beginning to reveal its secrets. Estimates suggest that the city is as much as 100 acres, bearing in mind that the Mesopotamian settlements of the Sumerians at that time were 10 times smaller, or about 10 acres. Knowing these facts, we can assume that the most developed civilization for its time inhabited our lands, from Varna and Durankulak, all the way to Maritsa regions.
