Kunafa ( also spelled knafeh, kanafeh). Cream kunafa is a famous Middle Eastern dessert, made with fine strands of shredded phyllo dough, with a layer of delicious homemade pastry cream called Qeshta. The kunafa is then baked until the outer layer achieves a golden-brown, the dessert is drizzled with a fragrant sugar syrup, garnished with chopped pistachios.

Ingredients
For Sugar Syrup
Sugar 1 cup
Water 1/2 cup
Lemon juice 1tsp
Rose water 1tsp

For cream filling
Milk 1 & 1/2 cup
All purpose flour 1 & 1/2tbsp
Corn starch 1 & 1/2tbsp
Sugar 2tbsp
Cream cheese 4 cubes

For kunafa
Kataifi 300g
Melted butter 1/2 cup
