The broken ignition lock on my BMW F650GS needs to be replaced and I don't want to replace the keys. The good news there is a solution, you can swap the key barrel from old to new. Here's the process and it's pretty easy, once the ignition switch has been extracted from the top yoke. A small but important job complete with a sense of satisfaction. That's one of the 999 outstanding jobs done!
