My old combination blade was having a tough time ripping through pressure treated lumber so I thought it was time for a new blade. I saw this 10 inch Diablo rip blade at the Home Depot and thought it would work great. I was very optimistic that it would slice through my boards like butter. However, I wasn't too impressed. It almost seemed equally poor at making the cuts.

Now, I admit, it could be user error. I'm no expert of the table saw. Maybe my saw needs a little tuning up, or maybe my fence wasn't totally lined up.

Even though this blade says it's only make for rip cuts, I was pleasantly impressed at the clean cross cuts it makes.

Hind sight, I would have just got another combination blade.
