You have high blood pressure and your cardiologist has told you to exercise. This is wise advice, because it is undeniable that regular exercise can help reduce blood pressure values, thus improving the health of your heart. But not all sports are suitable or effective for this purpose.

The best physical activity to lower blood pressure is undoubtedly aerobic exercise. So, brisk walking, running, cycling or swimming are all examples of activities that help the heart work regularly, reducing the effort needed to pump blood. These types of exercise, if practiced consistently, have shown a significant positive effect on reducing blood pressure, especially if you have very high values.

You don't need to make extreme efforts: just move consistently for at least 30 minutes a day, for most days of the week. If possible, the ideal is to do these activities daily.
