My second race with the new bike, I switched from the big Husky fe501 to a KTM xc-w 300, big improvement, although I’m not going any faster yet, everything feels much easier especially on the tight sections.
The trail was quite difficult and somewhat dangerous in my opinion - hidden ditches on the fast straits were not the best idea of the year but I guess someone thought it was. Anyhow, I managed to stay up and not hit the deck this time, I was extra careful and why I didn’t send it the way I wanted to. I could have probably saved about a minute per lap going faster but it was definitely not worth the risk considering the state of the trail. I’m quite happy with 9th place, it’s going to take me a few more hours to be really comfortable and confident enough to be more competitive. Next season I guess.
