In this video I show how to make the ghoul in the graveyard Halloween card, part 3 of giving a new look to a glamorous lady die.
To make the background I used white cardstock, various tones of orange ink and a light splodge of green ink. I made some gravestone stencils from some random dies and partially die cut them out and inked them in grey and black ink.
I used a scrap of clear plastic packaging and some grey ink to add clouds.
I used a tree die and some craft foam ( stuck to some plastic packaging) to make a stamp. and also used a bat stamp and a foliage stamp to decorate the edges.
I used an off white card for the ghoul and gave her a skeletal face with a fine black marker and white gel pen, for a mad gleam in her eyes. I used a dark brown marker pen for her hair so it would stand out against the orange background.
I used parchment paper for her dress, veil and bustle bow, and a swirly embossing folder to give a lacey effect. I used glitter paste to add a little sparkle to her clothes and the gravestones.
I used a tiny flower die and a foliage die to create a bouquet. I also used some craft gems, double sided tape and craft glue.
I think I managed to give the glamorous lady a very different look and I am pleased at the mileage have got out of a die which, I really loved but I had only used a few times.
