It's fall season and it's cabbage season. Me and mother in-law went to the garden and harvested cabbages. We thought our cabbage was not good this year but we managed to get some good cabbage heads. She made a colorful preserved salat out of it and they call it "šarena salata". Very easy recipe with very few ingredients. Cut all your cabbage, paprika, carrots and cucumber into small slices. Pack it tight into a container and pour your pickling water and cover. It needs to submerge wit the water that's why mom put a water on the top most of the glass container. Then you can eat it the next day or store at at your pantry. No cooking needed.
