After seeing the Union Pacific 4014 Big Boy in West Chicago, I went to the Rochelle Railroad Park two days later to get it stopping at the park. The world's biggest steam engine was making a stop here on it's way towards Iowa to continue the Midwest tour. With big crowds expected I got there slightly before 6 in the morning and by the time it arrived a little after 10 there were easily 2000 people in the Park and surrounding areas. Being that I'm over 6ft tall I could reach over most people to get a good shot. Outside of morons walking across the tracks and other bad behavior, it was a fun time.
