Rui Manuel César Costa, simply known as Rui Costa, born 29 March 1972 in Amadora (Portugal). 339 games and 42 goals in Serie A, playing as attacking midfielder with Fiorentina and Milan. From 1994 to 2006 he played 12 Serie A seasons, making the fortunes of great strikers like Batistuta, Chiesa (Fiorentina), Shevchenko and Inzaghi (Milan). His assists were many more than his goals. In Fiorentina he won 1 Coppa Italia and 1 Supercoppa Italiana (both in 1996). In AC Milan he won 1 Serie A, 1 Coppa Italia, 1 Supercoppa Italiana, 1 UEFA Champions League, 1 UEFA Supercup.
With Portugal he played 94 international games, scoring 26 goals. He won 1 FIFA Under-20 World Cup (1991) and he arrived 3rd (2000) and 2nd (2004) in UEFA European Football Championship.
