সে ছিল এক দিন। ঠাকুমাকে আদরে তারা সবাই ডাকতো “মাগো”। বাবা মায়েরা সবাই “মা” বলে ডাকতো তো, তাই বোধহয় নাতি নাতনিরা সবাই ভাবতো যে মানুষটার নামই “মা”। সেখান থেকে “মাগো”। সেই মাগো’র হাতের রান্নার স্মৃতি মনে বয়ে বেড়িয়েছে তারা সারাজীবন। আজ তার থেকে আনলাম একটি রান্না। সহজ, অনাড়ম্বর, অমৃতপ্রায়, অমলিন। বড় স্মৃতিমেদুর। বড় দুখজাগানিয়া। বড় চিরকালীন।


Them were the days. They used to affectionately call their grandma- “Mago”. The parents used to call her “Ma”, so probably they thought her name itself was “Ma”. From there it became “Mago”.
